It's A......

BOY! I found out through my mom, after I specifically told her do NOT tell me. My mom with her hearing issues apparently made her think I said go ahead tell me. UGH. Anyway, Mandy did tell me later that she is having a boy. No name yet, although I know they have several marked down that they really like since I accidentally saw the list a couple weeks ago. OOOOPS. I am happy for them! It's going to take some getting used to, but I know that being around a little boy is going to be fun. Different, but I'll still love him!

Patiently Waiting

Today, Mandy is going for a sonogram. Actually, she should be at the hospital right now. I cannot wait to hear what they will be having! Whatever it is, I hope and pray that it is another healthy little baby. That is all that's really important. I do have to admit that I would like her to have another girl. I guess since I grew up in a family of girls, I hope it stays that way. But having a boy would be fun, too. Definitely different! Mandy and I joked last week, "What do we do with a boy??" LOL I'm sure we would learn and figure it out, it's not that hard! I must keep myself busy so I'm not thinking about what it is. I will be updating later!!

Emma

Little Emma was one of a set of triplets. Born weighing only 10 ounces, she fought her way through this world with everything she had. She had PH. Her other 2 siblings had their fair share of problems and disabilities as well, but Emma seemed to have the bigger battle. She hated it when she had to go to the doctors, for all they'd do is poke and prod, and it wasn't a fun experience. But she brought joy to her family, to her mother who loved her fiercely and fought just as hard to get the right care for Emma. Emma was surely a trooper! Little Emma passed away last night, unexpectedly. Yes, she had been going through another rough patch for the past few weeks. But everyone who knew her were positive that Emma would fight like she always did, and make it through. Sadly, her little body just had enough, and she passed away quietly. The little 3-yr old trooper was now a little angel. It was a terrible shock reading that she was gone this morning. It was like my heart dropped, like

Welcome Winter!

Well the wonderfully mild winter weather we had been having since December and the beginning of January is now a thing of the past. The real winter came this week with a blast of bitter cold and ice and snow. I admit, it's very pretty out there! But now that it's ohh, 17 degrees out, I'm ready for the warmth again. But I don't think it's coming back until the spring now! This winter has just been a weird one. Not only did the first part of it give us warmer than usual temperatures here in the East, the rest of the country has faced it's own difficult weather problems. Colorado got hit with 3 snow storms, wreaking havoc in that area for weeks. California has been having freezing temps at night, and the citrus crop is almost all lost. Areas that don't usually get much snow, if any at all, are getting swamped with it. Ice slathered alot of areas, creating so many problems. It's just crazy, this winter!! I'm sure so many people are already looking fo
