Emma

Little Emma was one of a set of triplets. Born weighing only 10 ounces, she fought her way through this world with everything she had. She had PH. Her other 2 siblings had their fair share of problems and disabilities as well, but Emma seemed to have the bigger battle. She hated it when she had to go to the doctors, for all they'd do is poke and prod, and it wasn't a fun experience. But she brought joy to her family, to her mother who loved her fiercely and fought just as hard to get the right care for Emma. Emma was surely a trooper!

Little Emma passed away last night, unexpectedly. Yes, she had been going through another rough patch for the past few weeks. But everyone who knew her were positive that Emma would fight like she always did, and make it through. Sadly, her little body just had enough, and she passed away quietly. The little 3-yr old trooper was now a little angel.

It was a terrible shock reading that she was gone this morning. It was like my heart dropped, like I was slammed into a wall. This is the 4th time within a year that I have lost a PHriend. It is even harder to know that a little child is gone. She never got to live a full life. It is something I find hard to understand. There are so many questions as to why something like this happens, but these questions will go unanswered.

What I do know is that Emma was truly loved. Not only by her family, but by the many readers of her Carepages, and by the PH family that is on the PHA message boards. So many people prayed for this little girl, and her siblings. So many people were brought together by just this one little fighter. I will miss her, I'll miss reading about her triumphs and her down times. I pray that her family will have the strength to get through this terrible loss, and that they will one day be able to laugh at the memories of a little angel.

May God Bless you, little Emma. You will be remembered always.
