Updates!
I haven't posted in about a week and a half, and I really should have been! There has been so much to write about. I've been so busy, that by the time I got to blogging, I just was too tired to do it. Sooo anyway, here are some happenings!
I became an aunt again last Friday, June 22. Little Sean was born in the afternoon, all 8lbs of him. He's sooooo cute, and looked alot like my BIL when I first saw him. But, I can definitely see my sistore, too! Children surely change as they grow up, so I'll see both Mandy and Ron as Sean changes. Just like I do when I see Hailey. They've all been home since last Sunday, Ron having a week off for paternity leave. I've only been over once since they brought Sean home, since they are trying to get the little guy adjusted to his new life. Hailey is also trying to get used to the newness of a baby around, and being that she just turned 2 the day before her brother arrived, it's a very trying time for them all! But they will get through it. And I will gladly have some playdates with my little niece to occupy her whenever Mandy needs a moment of sanity!
My sistore, Lisa, came home last Friday for 5 days. She drove up because her best friend was having her bridal shower last Sunday. It was lucky that Sean decided to come into the world last Friday, so Lisa was able to see him for a few days! We weren't sure when the little guy was going to decide to arrive, considering he was already 4 days late. Anyway, it was nice seeing Lisa. I wish it could have been a bit longer, but she had to go back home (in NC) to go back to work. She is a counselor, and her district started year-round school this summer. She's not sure she's going to like it, since she pretty much will never get a break. But I guess she's giving it at least a year, and if she doesn't like it, she'll try getting a job somewhere else. We'll see her again in October, when she flies back home for her friend's wedding (which we are all invited to!). That should be fun!
The weather here was very hot and a bit humid for some days, my cup of tea! I actually felt pretty good those days. Then it got cooler. And now I'm miserable. I guess this year I have allergies? Last year I didn't. This year my sinuses are revolting on me. I'm sneezy, and stuffy, and I'm getting headaches, and all I want it to do is warm up again. lol I suppose I could call my PCP to ask about what I can take for it. Generic Claritin is out, because I tried that a couple years ago, and it made me more SOB than I care for. Maybe there is something out there I can try! We'll see.
No word on Revatio yet. My dad tried calling the number he had for Cleveland Clinic to see about making an appt to see a specialist for his ear, but he has to call back on Monday. Hopefully he will be able to get an appt, if they feel they can do something for him. And if he does get an appt, I'll call my PH doc's nurse to let her know I'll be coming on that day to take my first dose of Revatio. And if my dad doesn't get an appt, or they know they can't do anything more for him, then I guess I'll still wait to go back. Or maybe we can just make a day trip, and figure out something else fun to do in Cleveland besides just going there for one thing. I've already been to the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame. No need to see that again. The zoo? Hmmmm, maybe. I don't know, I'll wait to see what happens with my dad first!
I guess that's it for now. I'm sure I'm forgetting to write about something else. Oh well, I can always come back later! Right now, I need a nap!
