Almost Near The End

Today Lisa came over for maybe 20 minutes or so before I headed off to rehab, and her little guy rode a Thomas train car down the block with her. He tried to find Mittens when they got in the house, and when he got a little too close for Mittens' comfort, Mittens ran out of the cupboard and cried all the way to the bedroom and under the bed. Oh well, at least he didn't bite anyone!

I went to rehab and did a good workout, but I was pretty exhausted when I got home. I had three things I wanted to accomplish for the bridal shower on Saturday, but the first thing I had to do was take a nap after I watered all the plants outside. Mittens hung out with me on the bed, but I just couldn't really doze. I spent maybe half an hour just laying there, and then decided to get up. I made hummus with roasted red pepper. Done! Then I started working on one of the games I'm going to do, when I heard a knock on my door. Lisa was back for a bit! She actually helped me with one of my other tasks, which was to wrap all the prizes for the games we were doing. Yay! Meanwhile, she had brought her camera over so I could "steal" some pictures, since I don't really have anything recent of her little guy in my frames in the living room. We chatted for awhile, and then she went down to the basement to go through my storage bins of teaching stuff. Sadly, she didn't get too far when my dad called to tell me that her son was wailing for her. So she walked back down to the house, and I finished working on the game stuff. After that, I made myself go lay down again, and I actually fell asleep for about half an hour.

Tonight, I went out for drinks with my sistores! We haven't done that in forever, so it was just so nice for the four of us to be together. We laughed and shared stories, and we also exchanged names for Christmas. We had to do it like five times because we kept getting our own names. lol I'm really glad we were able to go out for a little bit. I just wish we had more time to spend together!

Tomorrow we head to my Grandma's house in the early afternoon, a few hours from here. Saturday afternoon will be the shower, and then probably a couple hours after it ends, we need to head home with Mandy and Joan since they aren't able to stay until Sunday. I'm actually glad about that, because although I have had a great time this week with my family, and being busy every day, I'm worn out. I hate this fact really, that I just can't seem to keep up with it all. I'm not breathing any different, my lungs are fine (the pulmonary hypertension is in control), but I'm just exhausted. I'm not getting as much rest time as I'm used to when I've got nothing going on. So I'm relieved that I'll be able to not worry about doing too much next week once I get through this weekend!
