A Couple Updates
First of all, Sunday night, I tried going on the IRS website again, to see where I'd have to call about my tax form (which I found, by the way, in a place I should not have put it!!). While on the site, I decided to enter my info again to see if it happened to be there, and aha! It showed up! According to what was written, my tax stimulus money should be deposited in my checking account on May 9th! Now, I am only a tiny bit excited, since I still have 2 days to see if this actually happens! But if I am $300 richer on Friday, than my laptop dreams are alive again!! Cross your fingers!!
Second of all, I got a call on Tuesday afternoon about my foot xray.....that I had on THURSDAY. I'm so glad it wasn't so serious that they waited all that time to tell me the results! Anyway, my nurse said that the xray showed bunion formation, which might be causing my foot problem. I am not even kidding, I almost said to her "No shit Sherlock!!" However, what I DID say to her was, "I've had bunions for over 15 years, I highly doubt that is the issue." I'm not usually that snippy with my nurse, she's a very nice person, but I felt incredibly irritated that I wasted time and taxpayer money to get a stupid xray that told me something I've known for over 15 years!! And I am sorry, but the NP I saw clearly saw my foot that day I went to her, and my bunions stick out like a sore thumb because I have such skinny feet, that she had to have been blind not to see them!! ANYWAY, my nurse said I can see a podiatrist, but I am going to hold off. My foot is starting to feel better. I think the sneaker change has helped quite a bit, plus the fact that I'm not wearing them all day after I exercise, like I was doing before. If it's not almost totally better in another couple weeks, then I'll go to a podiatrist. So that's that!
Thirdly, well this isn't really an update, but it's not news I really wanted to hear about. My mom called me this morning to tell me she was going to Buffalo with my dad for an appt he had with an ear specialist. He has been deaf in his right ear for about 2 years now, give or take. It happened suddenly, and the local ear doctor he went to really didn't treat it the way I feel it should have been treated. Anyway, my dad now had ringing in his left ear. That is how it started in his right ear, so I seriously seriously hope that whatever is going on in his left ear, he doesn't lose his hearing. That would make him completely deaf. I honestly have been trying not to think of what my dad will go through if that happens. So I've just praying all day that his left ear will be ok!!
