Busy Busy

It's been hectic here the past couple weeks, at least it's felt that way. I was trying to get things all planned and squared away for my PH support group meeting (which was today, more on that in a bit). Then on Thursday and Friday last week, I was hit with a really nasty stomach flu, and it really threw me for a loop. I spent all this week trying to get more energy, resting quite a bit, and sleeping often. But although I got my appetite back, my energy level hasn't been the same. No matter how much sleep or resting I do, I just seem exhausted most of the time. I'm thinking it has to do with several factors: still recovering from stomach flu, the weather, stress from planning the support group meeting (which, ironically, was all about stress! lol), female bs, and probably some other things I can't even think about now. I'm hoping that since the meeting is out of the way, and one other major issue I've been stressing about has been resolved, maybe I'll ...

Me and Scooter!

Image
I visited my friend on Saturday, to see her new puppy. His name is Scooter, he is a pit bull (not one of my fav dogs, but he was cute), and he was playful. Well, after he got used to me. He didn't like me at first, but after about 10 minutes, I was his new best friend! lol Here's a picture of us! Enjoy!

New Jewelry Website Yet Again!

Well, after a couple months of trying Ebay to sell my jewelry, it was getting too expensive. I only sold a few things, and I kept having to put things up for bid just so people could maybe see my store. I didn't like it much! I am very happy that a PHriend gave me a website for people who make things by hand, and I finally was able to use it! I spent about 4 days taking pictures of everything I've made on my new camera, and the pics looked great! Then I realized they were too huge for the website, so I had to resize them. UGH. But I got that all done, and finally put all my stuff up on the site, all 100 items. And it'll only cost me $20 for 4 months to have them listed. Yay!! Anyway, here is the site!: www.fromtheheartjewels.etsy.com Go! Look! Shop! Send it to people! LOL And if you don't, well, thanks for looking anyway! hehe

A Realization, And My Day

I just realized, while typing email to a friend who isn't feeling well, that it has been one full year since I last had a major cold. KNOCK ON WOOD!!! LOL In the beginning of April last year was when I got sick last, the same time I had to go to Cleveland for a checkup, and I was NOT feeling well. Sure, I have felt run down on and off during the winter, but it never developed into anything. And I am sooooo greatful for that!! I think a couple of the reasons I haven't gotten sick is because I was home so often during the very cold winter, and I have consumed almost a bottle of honey in that time period. lol Let's just hope I didn't just jinx myself by writing how healthy I've been!! lol Today I was pretty busy, and I wasn't overly tired from it either. I did my dishes this morning, and then cleaned all the fish. After that, I went out to a few stores to get some things I needed. And then I stopped over my friend, Kat's, house to see her new puppy. Scooter...

Kind Words From A Stranger

This morning a lady called me about my upcoming PH support group meeting on April 28th. She told me she'd like to attend, along with her husband. We chatted for several minutes, and she seemed like such a nice person. I told her I've had PH all my life, and that I started the group because I didn't know what to do after having to quit my job, and that I also wanted to meet others like me. She thanked me for wanting to do this, because she knew how much energy it can take to organize a support group, and that PHers don't always have that energy. I thought that was very kind, coming from someone I have not yet met. :-) I am looking forward to the meeting. So far, I have 8 people coming! Five of them are PH patients. And this isn't even including myself, my mom, and Jacqueline from Accredo. It's still a couple weeks away, so hopefully there will be even more RSVPs! Heck, just having 8 people is already 3 times more than I had the last time! lol The topic for the...

Betrayals

It's rather difficult to believe that someone you thought you knew well could turn out to be such a monster. I have found out that one of my friends is someone other than what he's been portrayed all the time I've known him. I can't even really call him a friend now, I call his wife my friend more. I feel sad and even hurt a little, to know that he has said such awful things, and has even been abusive. It's just a sad situation, made even worse by the fact that their son is in the middle of it all. My prayers will definitely be with them for a long time. It just reminds me of someone I knew for over half my life, who was my best friend, and I thought always would be. I honestly feel she just couldn't handle what my life had become after I had to quit my job, and I was sick for awhile years back. I miss her alot sometimes, and then I realize how much of a relief I've felt since she's been out of my life. It's sad that things happen like that. But I...

Happy Easter! Or Merry Christmas??

It's very hard to believe that tomorrow is Easter. In the past several days, it has felt more like the last days before the Christmas holiday. The temps are hardly making it into the 30s, and it's been snowing! I've gone back to wearing long underwear, for goodness sake!! I sure hope this weather goes away soon, it's a little depressing! I went to a re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross at my church last night with my mom. It was done by Franciscan Mystery Players, and it was something I've never experienced before. It was so moving! The players were teenagers. They had very loud instramental music playing, and then 2 speakers who went through the meanings of the stations the teens were re-enacting. I didn't think I'd get as emotional as I did, but my eyes wouldn't stop watering and welling up, and just listening to the words from the speakers was very enlightening. I truly was glad I got to go, and if they come again next year, I will try going aga...

Things That Make You Wonder

I was talking to Erin today, and she told me her daughter, Sydney, said to her "You need Poppy D." Erin was like what?? Sydney again said, "You need Poppy D., mommy." Erin asked, "How do you know about Poppy D?" And Sydney said "He's with me all the time." I teared up so badly, I almost started crying. Poppy D. is Erin's father, who passed away before Sydney turned 1. So it was so very surprising that she even realized who he was, since she was so little when he died. To hear a 2-year old say that her deceased grandpa was with her all the time....well, I don't even know what to say to that. It's overwhelming, to say the least!

April Is Here!

Lots of things have been happening around here, at least it seems like it. I've been busy the past couple days, and surprisingly not that tired, physically. I am happy about that, though. Today I ran a whole bunch of errands: went to the post office....got bloodwork done....went to pick up my ear drops.....went to the library....went to the cemetary to say hi to Grandpa lol.....came home and ate a sandwich, then went to pay the water bill.....then went to cash my SS check.....then stopped at my mom's and saw Joanie's new phone! It was a good day, until I got home and had to take a nap because of a massive headache!! But I felt better when I got up, which was good since I really didn't want to take an Excedrin. Easter is just around the corner, and it's kind of hard to believe. The warmer weather has been here on and off, and it's been nice! However, winter is making a quick return this weekend, it figures. I didn't want to wear long underwear on Easter day...

Sad News For Pet Owners

Image
I heard today that some of the recalled pet food announced earlier this week was found to have rat poison in it. Rat poison. They are still trying to figure out how that happenend, and how really bad the situation is. In the meantime, I feel so very sad for the owners who have already lost pets to this, and the ones who are watching their pets suffer. Pets aren't even considered a pet in some households, they are considered a member of the family. I know I consider Mittens my kid. I just couldn't imagine watching him suffer like that, and feeling so helpless about what to do for him. I am just so thankful I don't feed him any canned food, so he's not affected by this. I don't know what I'd do without my baby!!

The Tulips Are Coming! The Tulips Are Coming!

Image
I love tulips!! They are my most favorite flower! They are starting to sprout around my house, and my mom tells me they have been coming up down there. I'm actually jealous because she has a TON of tulips around her house, and some of them are so huge and gorgeous!! At least she is nice enough to cut some of them and let me have them. :-D I can't wait to see all of them in full bloom!!

Spring Has Sprung!

Well, spring is officially here, and it sure feels like it! Yesterday wasn't too bad of a day, it was a little rainy in the afternoon, but the sun was out in the morning. And it ended up being in the 50s. Today isn't so bad temp-wise, but it sure has been a very rainy day! And very windy! I went out to mail an ebay item, and I was so happy to have my hair in a ponytail. It was nice to get a little fresh air though! I felt pretty good this morning, and I was all ready to exercise. I put on my sneakers, cranked up the oxygen, and began. I put my hands in my pockets (I usually do this while walking), and lo and behold discovered that I hadn't taken my Tracleer!! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPSSSS!! Needless to say, I didn't walk very far, and I was kinda tired doing it. I was a little bummed out! I can't believe I didn't take it, I got sidetracked pouring myself a bowl of cereal this morning and forgot. :-( So because I was tired from exercising, and then getting dressed...

Not A Bad Day Afterall!

I called my mom to ask if she had to go out anywhere today, and yay, she did! So she picked me up and we ran some errands, and then she had to babysit my cutie pie of a niece. We were running a bit late getting back to the house, so she didn't drop me off at mine, and I ended up staying there for the rest of the afternoon and evening. I sort of didn't really want to stay, but I'm so glad I did anyway! Hailey is just too cute, and we had fun! Hailey and my mom and I danced to Benny Goodman songs, and it was cute! Then I taught her to "dip." She found it hilarious! She kept saying "dip, " and she would tilt her head to one side. lol Then she tried dipping while on my lap eating dinner, and almost got my jaw! I had to tell her no dipping at the table! lol As exhausted as I am right now, I had a nice time with my niece. She's just way too cute!! :-)

What the Bleep???

It is snowing here once again!! I don't think it's going to accumulate, but it's SNOWING. I want it to stop! I'm just so ready for spring, it's not funny. And to make matters worse, I really need to go out to run a few errands. The snow is making me want to just stay inside!! But tomorrow it'll be alot colder. I can't win! This weekend was so-so. I wasn't feeling great. I'm not sure if I'm starting a cold or what. My nose has been rather stuffy, and I've been tired. I have been getting some things done, though, so at least that's something. I went to breakfast with the family yesterday morning, and then to church, but that's it. I just read and slept for the rest of the day. That's what I want to do today, but I need to go out in this SNOW. BLAH! Eve is coming Thursday for the weekend. I can't wait to see her! Another reason why I'm hoping I'm not sick!! She is coming home to surprise her dad for his 70th birthday. B...
After having a pretty good day yesterday, today started out kinda iffy. I woke up with an earache. I didn't take anything for it until about an hour ago. It's not bad now, I just hope it won't get any worse! Last thing I need is to be sick. Noooooooo. There are issues going on with my housemate. Although it's hard to call him that since he hasn't really been in the house for more than 10 minutes all month. I wouldn't really care all that much if he had already paid the rent. But he hasn't! And I KNOW he got his check in the mail because I saw it. My mom is not happy, and I can't say I blame her. I don't know what to tell her. She tried coming over to talk to him when I heard him come home earlier today, but by the time she walked d0wn here, he was gone. I just hope this gets resolved soon. Next month the water bill be due, and I have a suspicious feeling that I'll be paying for it by myself until he shows up at some point to give me his half. Gr...

New Look!

Ok, so I haven't worked on jewelry yet. However, I am pretty impressed with myself right now!! If you haven't already noticed, my blog has a new look! Since all sorts of settings and backgrounds for blogspot was set up a couple months ago, I discovered how to fanagle with html. Soooooo, after about 40 minutes of playing around with all this stuff, I have a purply looking blog! Now, considering my favoritest color is red, some may be wondering about the purple. I decided, for now, to have purple since it's the color to represent PH. And since I talk about PH on my blog as much as I can, I found it appropriate! So, please let me know how you like the look! If you do! Or if you don't. I don't really mind hearing opinions! lol
I haven't been doing too badly lately, feeling a tad bit more energized most days than the last time I posted. I enjoyed the beautiful sunshine with my sistore, Mandy, on Tuesday, and it was wonderful! It made me wish for more days like that now. But, this is March in Western New York, and the weather during this time can turn from spring-like to winter-like even within the day! So every good day we get, I try to take advantage of it! I walked a mile today, and felt alright doing it. I'm resting now, as if that makes any sense. lol Actually, for me, it does make sense. I'm glad I exercised, but if I feel I need to rest a bit after, then I need to. I told a PHriend of mine today that I sometimes feel like I should be exercising more or longer than I do sometimes. I actually think this every day. But then I tell myself, every day, that I am not a NORMAL person, and that I can't often do what someone else might be able to do. If I can walk a half a mile one day, and on...

Ramblings

I've been so exhausted for pretty much a week now. I know why, but I'm not going to bore anyone with details. But it's really driving me nuts. My body just feels so weak, and even worse when I try to make myself do something. I still have been walking on the treadmill, but although it refreshes me for a bit, I find myself needing to go rest for awhile after. I hope this ends soon, because I can't take it!! I've been seeing some of the kids from the middle school a block away walking home with babies in the past few weeks. It must be sex education time. It makes me wonder if they are actually getting anything from caring for these "babies" for a week or two, or however long they have to care for them. I was telling a friend of mine about seeing the kids, and she said she's seen some in the mall recently with the babies. They were using the babies' foreheads as trays and tables. Hmmmmm, something isn't right about this! I'm getting tired of t...

When A PHriend Becomes An Angel

When A Phriend Becomes An Angel When a PHriend becomes an angel, We may feel shocked and very sad. We may not understand why, We may feel so very bad. When a PHriend becomes an angel, We mourn the life that should have been. We hoped they’d see more years to come, More time with family and friends. When a PHriend becomes an angel, We begin to have more fears. When will it be my time to go? Is it months or maybe years? But when a Phriend becomes an angel, We start to also realize. There will no longer be the hardships, No more pains and no more cries. When a PHriend becomes an angel, They are now in so much peace. Breathing easier forever more, Watching over loved ones with such ease. To my Phriends who have sadly passed away, So suddenly gone within this year. Please know how much I love you, How you have become so dear.
